Hi Isabel,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to reach out about your post urging folks to reconsider the 100th day of school. From what I can tell, you were the first person to make a public plea to stop dressing like 100 year olds. Thank you for that! I found the link to your post in the comment you made on the ChangingAging blog. I wanted to let you know that Ashton Applewhite and I are working together, along with the folks mentioned in the ChangingAging article, to start a nation-wide direct action this school year on this topic. I am compiling alternative ideas on my website: https://www.ageactivism.com/100th-day-of-school and here is Ashton’s latest newsletter about it: https://mailchi.mp/thischairrocks/a-dream-and-a-book-deal-1414753?e=72512ca6b8
I would love to hear your thoughts on it, and I look forward to the momentum this campaign will create to make the world better to grow old in 🙂
God Bless,
Ryan
Hi Ryan! Thanks for reaching out! Though seemingly silly and fun, I do believe 100th day only adds to the devaluing of the old in society! Will message you!
